Vision
Our Vision
To be the reference institution in Mauritius and the wider Indian Ocean and African region for construction law, dispute resolution and the responsible application and ethical use of artificial intelligence in professional practice.
To be a centre where practitioners are trained to prevent and manage disputes with rigour, and where every arbitration, mediation or adjudication administered under our umbrella is recognised for its independence, competence and procedural integrity.

Our Mission
Mascarenhas International Centre for Disputes Managemnent Limited exists to raise the standard of practice in construction and dispute resolution, and to provide the institutional infrastructure that makes that practice trustworthy. We do this through two complementary functions:
The Training Academy
Delivers practical, industry-relevant education in construction law, arbitration, mediation, adjudication and artificial intelligence by equipping legal practitioners, engineers, quantity surveyors architects, project managers and construction professionals with skills they can apply on live projects and disputes, not just theory.
The MICDM Academy
Administers disputes to institutional standard by appointing arbitrators, accrediting and maintaining a panel of vetted, competent neutrals, and enforcing clear rules of membership, conduct and procedure consistent with a modern arbitral institution.

Applying AI responsibly to programme analysis, claims documentation, and contract administration under FIDIC — for quantity surveyors, engineers, and site professionals.

Construction Law & FIDIC Contract Administration
Working through notice provisions, extension of time, and condition-precedent traps under FIDIC, read against the Code Civil Mauricien.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION SERVICES
The MICDM MICDM Academy
Alongside its training programs, MICDM operates as an Adjudication Appointment Body — nominating and appointing independent, qualified adjudicators for construction and commercial disputes.
ADJUDICATION APPOINTMENT BODY
Where a contract or statutory adjudication scheme requires a nominating body, the MICDM Academy appoints an adjudicator from its panel — drawing on the same construction law, FIDIC, and dispute resolution expertise behind MICDM's training programs.
Appointments are made promptly and independently, with regard to the subject matter of the dispute and the availability and qualifications of panel members.

Panel reviewThe Centre identifies an available adjudicator whose expertise matches the subject matter of the dispute.

Appointment confirmedBoth parties are notified of the appointment and the adjudicator's terms, in line with the applicable adjudication procedure.
